Orchard Park Rotary Awards 2016 ScholarshipsOrchard Park May 21, 2016
The Orchard Park Rotary Club is proud to announce the recipients of two $5000.00 scholarships. Michael Gossel an Orchard Park High School senior was awarded the James Saville Scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic performance. Marissa Todaro, also a senior, was awarded the vocational education scholarship in recognition of her impressive scholastic achievement.

Copy of Gift of Life DonationOrchard Park Rotary makes a donation to Gift of LifeAt the February 9th meeting of the Orchard Park Rotary, the club was visited by Pat Castiglia of the Hamburg Rotary Club. She was there to speak about the "Gift of Life" program which provides life saving surgeries for children that are gravely ill and live in countries where the needed surgery is unavailable. Since 1996 the District 7090 Gift of Life program has been able to save 41 children who otherwise would not have lived to see their teen years. R.I. District 7090 Gift of Life is an approved IRS 501 (c)(3) and Revenue Canada as a Charitable Organization.

CHANGE OF MEETING DATE!Instead of meeting on Tuesday, September 29th the club will assemble on Wednesday September 30th at the VFW Post located at 3740 N. Buffalo Road. Members of the Orchard Park Rotary Club will present former long time member Hans Eberlin with a brick dedicated in his honor. Activities will begin at 6:30 p.m.

ORCHARD PARK ROTARY OFFERS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPEach year the Orchard Park Rotary Foundation awards a scholarship to an Orchard Park student(s) who displays the qualities of a Rotarian through their school work, occupational work, community involvement, school involvement and social interactions. To qualify the student must be a graduating senior in 2015 and must be accepted at an accredited college or university.
Applications for "The James Saville OP Rotary Scholarship" may be picked up at House 3 of the Orchard Park High School or at C&M Capital Resources located at 3625 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14224. (Contact name: Don Maricle, 675-9407)

Lottery Raffle Fundraiser UpdatesThe "Stocking Stuffer" fundraiser was a success with 345 tickets sold! Thanks to all the members who pitched in to help make it a success. Additional thanks to the Hamburg Sunrise, Hamburg Evening and E. Aurora Rotary clubs who so kindly helped us out. Congratulations to the 1st winner in our "Stocking Stuffer" Raffle!
